How do I password protect my yahoo geocities website?

Does anyone now how to password protect my Geocities website...so as to prevent people from accessing it without my consent. I'm using it for a school project, and well...if it's accessable freely, it could be copied by other students. Even the HTML coding for a password box might work...

◙ If your host allows it you are better off using .htaccess and .htpassword. If not then use the following.

◙ Hosted Password Protection Cgi Scripts:

◙ OR use these tools to make a JavaScript password protection script for your pages. However the hosted cgi scripts are better.

Reply:On file manager, edit each folder's properties and change the status to private. In that way, only when logged into yahoo as the owner of the site you can see the content.
