Imported japanese game working on my american wii?

i might get an imported game called super smash bros. brawl for the wii buut will this japanese game work on my american wii? is the game region coded? or does it matter?

Yeah, it mattters, but you can get FreeLoader to play it, or there are some ways to play it without FreeLoader, but they are really complicated.

Reply:yea, your gonna need a japanese version. trust me, if you didnt need one, i would have so bought it and gotten it tomorrow, but im not gonna spend for another wii for just one game. ill just have to wait FOREVER til brawl comes out on March 9.

Reply:no it will not work on the wii so dont buy it, the wii is region coded but the nintendo ds is not, so you can get a japanese ds game and it will work
Reply:the games will work because both America and japan use 110 volt unlike england using 240 volt.


the only problem is the text and speech will be in Japaneses and you cant change that
