Which roe tastes fishier? Do you prefer cod roe or salmon roe?

I am making a Greek Cavier called Taramosalata. I have several recepies but I am not familuar with Roe. Which one is better Salmon or Cod roe?

Dont use salmon roe in Taramosalata.


Its to big and will turn it orange.


Use a small roe, like a whitefish roe.


Any smaller roe will do the trick.


So if you have both, use the Cod.

Reply:If you've ever eaten Taramosalata you'd know to use a small roe. Use a whitefish roe or something like that. Salmon will only make it orange.
