Anyone get the feeling the scare tactics are about to start again from the Bush administration?

maybe not quite the color coded alerts...but suddently osama bin laden videos will turn up, disturbing videos of alquaeda activity will turn up. More accusations of iran's activity will come up....perhaps a few bahamians and trinidadians will be arrested for plotting to bomb something...etc....

Anyone get the feeling the scare tactics are about to start again from the Bush administration?

Do a search for "Nick Berg", or have you forgotten him and those like him?

Reply:Mostly what I've personally been noticing is a lot of changes to documentation/retention/access to information/etc.





So, this makes me optimistic that they aren't actually going to try to pull something with the elections and are going to spend the rest of his term trying to destroy data / hide the stuff they did over the last year. Fortunately government is big and lots of stuff will still come out.
Reply:Well, I"m more likely to be nervous over a religious sect who believes that if I don't convert they will kill me (and if you don't believe that ask Theo Van Gogh or Daniel Pearl.......oh wait, you can't because they were killed by muslim extremists) than, say, global warming in 100 years.
